How do I rename or remove a tablet, and protect its settings with a PIN?
Everything happens in Settings › Account & establishment › Tablets, on the manager's phone or from My space on tracito.com. Every linked tablet has its own line there.
- Rename: name it after its station (“Pass”, “Dish pit”, “Chef's phone”) so you can tell them apart in the list.
- Settings access: choose what this tablet may do in the module settings. No access hides them completely (ideal for the kitchen tablet); PIN code opens them with a 4-digit code specific to this tablet; Full access lets anyone configure. The PIN only protects settings, never the readings.
- Remove tablet: it loses all access to the location immediately, or at its next connection if it was offline. Using it again will need a new pairing code.
Pairing codes not yet used are listed at the bottom of the screen: you can show, copy or cancel them.
Tip: establishment settings (name, details, subscription) stay reserved to the manager account, whatever the tablet's access level.
