How do I get allergens printed on the label?

It is an option, off to begin with, because not every kitchen needs it.

  1. In Settings › Modules › Use-by labels, turn on Allergens on the label.
  2. Open Products & shelf life, tap a product: the form now shows Allergens (14 EU), a list that covers the nine FDA major allergens (milk, eggs, fish, crustacean shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, sesame) plus a few European ones. Tick the product's allergens, Save. Once per product, not on every label.

After that, nothing more to enter in the kitchen: the line “Allergens: Milk, Eggs” prints abbreviated under the date on every label of that product, and the register keeps it. Handy for takeout, buffets and preparations moving from one station to another. A product with no allergen ticked prints a label without that line.
