How do I add a product or change its shelf life?

Everything is set in Settings › Modules › Use-by labels › Products & shelf life (or Configure from the module).

• Add a product: Product name, Category, Shelf life (days) and Action when labelling (Prepared, Opened, Thawed, Sous vide, Cooked: the word printed before the date), then Save. Two products with the same name are refused.
• Change a shelf life: tap the line, correct the days, Save. Labels already made keep the shelf life that was set that day.
• Delete removes the product from the kitchen list without erasing its labels from the register; it stays under Archived products, at the bottom of the page, with Restore.

In a hurry during prep? Add a product also exists in the module: the product is created and already in the batch, ready to print. An empty list offers Load common products. The proposed shelf lives follow the FDA Food Code (7 days at 41 °F at most); set them to what your own plan says.
