Tasks show overdue while we were closed: how do I clear them?
An undeclared holiday, a week of vacation, a reading taken but never logged: missed slots pile up under Overdue. The manager clears them in one move, with a reason that stays in the log.
- On the manager's phone (not from a paired tablet), open Today, then the Overdue section, and tap Clear overdue tasks.
- Tick the slots concerned (Select all for a closure period) and pick why: Establishment closed, Done, but not logged or Other reason, with a note if needed.
- Tap Clear. The slots leave the overdue list; the log and the Day summary count them as “cleared”, with the reason, never as done.
An overdue reading that is still useful (the cooler from the previous meal period) is simply done: a task validated late carries the missed slot and disappears.
Tip: declare closures ahead of time in Opening days; no overdue task is created on a closed day.
