What do I do when a temperature is out of range?
As soon as the value leaves the unit's range, it turns red and the Out of range: corrective action required block opens below it. The Validate button stays grayed out until you have said what was done.
- Tap one or more of the suggested actions (food moved to another unit, thermostat lowered, door closed, technician called…), or describe it under Corrective action (free text).
- If you want, add the Cause (door left open, defrost cycle, breakdown…) and What happened to the product (kept, moved, discarded…): both fields are optional.
- Tap your first name, then Validate.
The reading shows in red in the register with the action next to it, which is exactly what the health department expects to see. The manager gets a notification on their phone with the unit, the value, the name and the action taken.
Tip: you can add your own actions to the list under Settings › Modules › Temperature log › Corrective actions, with "Add a corrective action".
