How do I start a self-inspection and fill it in?

From the home screen, open Internal audit and tap Launch an audit. Nothing to set up: the grid is your country's, in the United States the 56 points in 18 chapters of the FDA Food Code inspection form, in °F. Pick who does it under Who does the audit, then move chapter by chapter with Next (“Step 2 of 20”…).

  1. For each point, tap Satisfactory, To watch, Unsatisfactory or Not applicable (no fryer, no highly susceptible population: the point leaves the score).
  2. Add a Note (optional) if needed and tap Take a photo: a torn gasket, a cracked floor tile. On cleanliness points the tablet says “A photo is welcome here.”
  3. The critical badge marks the points that bring the verdict down on their own, the way a priority violation would.
  4. In the Summary, unanswered points show To answer: tap a line to go back to it. Then Save the audit.

You can stop halfway: Leave, keep the draft keeps your progress on this tablet (not on another one), and next time the tablet offers Resume or Start over. A saved audit is archived and cannot be edited: you run a new one.

Tip: walk the kitchen with the tablet in hand, from receiving to the dish pit. The physical facilities, utensils and hygienic practices chapters cannot be answered from the office.
