How do I add a fryer, set how often it is checked, or change the limit?
Tanks are set up in Settings › Modules › Frying oil (by the manager, or on a tablet where the manager has opened settings).
- Tap "Add a tank", give it a "Tank name" ("Left fryer", "Donut fryer") and pick its "Measurement frequency": "Daily" (every opening day), "Weekly" with the "Days of the week" or "Any day", "Per service" with the meal periods concerned, or "After use" (no task: you measure when the fryer has been used).
- Tap "Add". Drag the tanks into the order of your line.
- To rename a tank or change its rhythm, tap "Edit tank", then "Save".
- A fryer taken out of service: "Archive". The tank leaves the kitchen and the tasks, its past readings stay in the log, and "Archived tanks" › "Restore" brings it back if needed.
The limit applies to every tank: Settings › Account & establishment › Regulatory thresholds › "Frying oil: maximum polar compounds". There is no federal limit in the United States; 25 % is the polar-compound limit used across the industry, and you can tighten it (20 % for lighter fries). Each reading keeps the limit that was in force that day.
Tip: a tank set to "Daily" that was not used shows up overdue the next day. For a backup fryer, pick "After use" instead.
