How do I log a holding temperature for a dish?

The Service temperature module keeps the log of plated dishes, meal period by meal period. The entry panel is always on screen: on the right on a tablet, at the bottom on a phone.

  1. Under Dish (optional), type the dish name ("mac and cheese", "chicken salad") or leave it empty.
  2. Pick the Dish type: Hot · ≥ 135 °F or Cold · ≤ 41 °F. The rule shows next to it.
  3. Set the value read on your thermometer with − and + (one degree at a time) or type it on the keyboard; "Compliant" shows in green under the value.
  4. Tap Add to batch, then move on to the next dish: the field clears for the next one.
  5. Once the meal period's dishes are in the To validate list, tap your first name under Who, then Validate.

Each dish goes into today's log under its meal period (Lunch, Dinner…), with the time, the name, the value and the compliance.

Tip: this module has no scheduled task. Log what your food safety plan calls for, such as one hot and one cold item per meal period.
